Education, Workshops, and Presentations
SDSU Health Promotion offers 3 categories of student health education:
One-on-one setting educational sessions are confidential and in a private setting and last approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. These sessions generally focus on topics in the areas of healthcare, nutrition, sexual health and women's health, and you can request a session on a topic or question of your choice. Learn more about one-on-one education sessions.
The Department of Health Promotion offers regularly scheduled health education group workshops in different locations throughout the campus. Worshops provide education in a small group setting and are led by health educators or peer health educators. Workshops are generally 1 hour long and are offered on a drop-in basis. Check the Health Promotion calendar for the current schedule.
Student groups are encouraged to request presentations which are facilitated by health educators, social workers, or peer health educators. We offer standard presentations on a variety of topics, and we will also work with you to create a specialized presentation to meet the needs of your community. Presentations are generally 50 to 90 minutes in length.
